Luckily breweries make beer and a version of this beer without hops makes whiskey. It just so happens that Ballast Point Spirits shares the building with Ballast Point Brewing Company's production facility in San Diego. This make for a great relationship as we all know great whiskey starts with great wash. Devil's Share Whiskey is born of the finest malted barley, fermented with our proprietary house ale yeast strain and aged in oak barrels. The "Angels Share" is the alcohol that evaporates from the barrels as they age, so it seems logical that the Devil's Share is what remains in the barrel for us to drink.
